This is an accredited on-line, self-paced Hygiene for Food Handlers course strongly recommended for owners, managers and supervisors of food businesses. Successful completion of this unit will help provide food handlers with the essential skills and knowledge needed in order to safely prepare food. The unit is a nationally recognised competency and can lead into further TAFE hospitality qualifications. FoodSafe® Food Handler Training is produced by Environmental Health Australia, and is a useful in-house training package with helpful tools to ensure food processes are safe and staff have reasonable knowledge levels. I’m Alert is a free online food safety course that takes approximately one and a half hours to complete all 20 modules. Staff can (and should) print out a certificate once they have successfully completed the course. If you would like to do this course just log on to www.mandurah.imalert.com.au |

These are free food safety training sessions that are held in the City of Mandurah’s administration building at 3 Peel Street. The sessions are best suited to staff performing basic food handling activities and those new to the food industry. The session usually lasts between one and one and a half hours and is designed as an introduction to food safety. The sessions are delivered by the City’s Environmental Health Officers and usually take place between 4-6pm.
