The Disability Access Advisory Group
The Disability Access Advisory Group plays an important role in assisting the City by providing feedback and input on access and inclusion initiatives.
The group meets six times a year and consists of two elected members and seven community members who either have a disability or work for an agency that provides support to people with disabilities.
Committee members are sought by written application every two years following an election. A panel selects committee members based on both personal and professional experience in the disability field. This process ensures that the Disability Access Advisory Group plays an active role in the delivery of the City’s Disability Access and Inclusion Plan outcomes.
