Events

The City of Mandurah Events Team welcomes people with disabilities to our events. We are working on ways to ensure events are easily accessible for people with disabilities and that people with disabilities are included in our events.  The Events Team understand that there is a need to be flexible and treat people as individuals with differing needs.  Our goal is that all people across the community can enjoy events with equal amenity.

The City of Mandurah has worked with the Disability Access Advisory Group to develop strategies to achieve access to its events for people with disabilities.

These strategies include:

    • Large type brochures can be made available for download from the internet
    • Information on disability access to be made available on the Events website
    • Chairs will be provided in front of stages for people with poor mobility and the elderly
    • Designating accessible car bays, possibly within road closure area
    • Better site configuration to allow a clear path for people with mobility difficulties, where possible
    • Toilets with disability access will be provided
