SUSTAINABLE MANDURAH DISPLAY HOME

Sustainable Mandurah Home

The City of Mandurah and Mirvac Fini, in partnership with Solar Dwellings, Ultimate Homes and Sustainable Consulting have designed and built the Sustainable Mandurah Home.

A WA first in sustainable housing, the Sustainable Mandurah Home moves sustainable design, construction and living from the margins to the mainstream. It is affordable, ecologically responsible and stylish and is available to purchase alongside Ultimate Homes wide range of project homes. The Sustainable Mandurah Home will set a benchmark for the future of housing in Mandurah and the South West.

The Sustainable Mandurah Home has been open to the publicĀ since May 2005 and aims to familiarise the community with sustainable design and living practices. Whether you are building a new home, renovating your existing home or renting a property, the Sustainable Mandurah Home is a hands-on display home that shows you how easy it is to reduce your ecological impact without compromising your lifestyle or your budget. The home is a resource for the whole community that supports environmental education in Mandurah and the Peel Region.

The Home is situated at 18 Grandmere Parade in Meadow Springs and is open every Wednesday from 2:00pm - 4:00pm, Saturday and Sunday from 1:00pm - 5:00pm.

The Sustainable Mandurah Home will be closed for the Christmas period 26 and 27 December 2009, and re-opening on Wednesday 30 December 2009.

If you would like to bring a community or school group to the Home at any other time please contact Janneke Greenham on 9550 3731 or via emailĀ Janneke.Greenham@mandurah.wa.gov.au
