Borrowing
Each member is entitled to borrow ten items. Your library card must be produced for all loans.
Members may borrow up to ten items at any one time, including books, magazines, videos, tapes, DVD's and CD's. There is a limit of 2 CD's, 2 DVD's and 2 Videos within the total ten items. A limit of two books per subject for school projects applies, so resources can be shared between the many students who use the library.
You are responsible for all items borrowed on your card. Please report a lost / stolen card immediately to avoid unauthorised use. Until it is reported, you are responsible for anything that is borrowed on your card. There is a fee for a replacement card. Stolen cards will be replaced free of charge upon producing a police report number.
If a book is lost or damaged while on loan to a reader, that reader must pay for the cost of replacing or repairing it. You are asked to check items for damage before borrowing. Please report all damage found to library staff. Charges for damaged and lost items are calculated on a depreciating scale.
Library privileges are suspended when a charge is attached to any membership.
Loan Period
All items are issued for four weeks, except for DVD's which are for two weeks. Items may be renewed *(please take out 'for a further fortnight') if not reserved for another member and can be renewed twice by phone, please quote your library card number, or by bringing the item into the library for re-issue.
Overdue notice - An overdue notice will be sent if items are not returned or renewed by the due date.
Fine - Upon issue of a second Overdue Notice, a fine will be applied and library privileges suspended until all items are returned and the fine paid.
Request and Information Service
This enables you to obtain books and information, which is either not in the library collection or out on loan to another reader. All books, magazines, DVD's, CD's, Videos and cassettes in the library may be reserved if they are not on the shelves.
If a request cannot be satisfied from our own stock we can usually obtain it through the State Wide inter library lending scheme.
