So if you are interested in ceramics or singing, ,juggling or scribbling there is plenty of opportunity for you to get creative. You may have just arrived in town and want to connect with those who share your interest or you may want to learn a new skill. A browse of the arts and culture lisitngs in the Community Directory will help you connect to Mandurah's creative sector.

Being able to experience art - either as artist or audience - helps keep us mentally healthy and is a measure of a civilised community. The arts also provide a stimulating career parth and income generation. For these reasons the City of Mandurah invests in arts development in a number of key areas as part of its sustainable planning for the city.

The Mandurah Library and Falcon eLibrary and Community Centre hum with activity through the year with arts classes, visiting authors and literary events. Our Indigenous and European settlement histories are fascinating and are a key feature in the history of Western Australia. The Mandurah Community Museum is a portal into this captivating world.

The Mandurah Performing Arts Centre has a busy diary of local and touring performances, plays and art exhibitions. Its popular annual Mandjar Art Awards and Mandjar 9 x 5 exhibition showcase local and Western Australian art.

With the advent of autumn, Mandurah's arts and cultural festival - Stretch, brings colour and vibrancy to the city every first wekeend in May. Its eclectic program of free exhibitons, performances and workshops in open air venues across the city are a showcase for local and visiting artists.

And for those who love leisurely strolls through the city the public art trail will lead you from the marina to the musuem along the cappuccino strip with water views at every angle.
