Sandboarding

Did you know?
Sandboarding is an illegal activity under
City of Mandurah Local Laws and carries an
on-the-spot fine of $200!
As we all know, Mandurah has some of the best beaches in the country and it is important that we don't take our fragile environment for granted.
Sand dunes play a vital role for Mandurah's beaches. They provide a natural buffer against storms, and the plants within the sand dunes help prevent erosion and provide shelter for animals.
What can you do to help?
- Surf waves, not sand dunes or have fun with BMX bikes, roller blades or skateboards at designated areas (skate parks).
- Always use designated pathways for beach access.
- Stay out of the sand dunes - damage occurs through walking, riding and in particular, sandboarding.

- Telephone Ranger Services on 9550 3630 to report any sandboarding activity (7 days/week).
