Community Education and Programs
The City of Mandurah coordinates a variety of educational programs and campaigns that promote community involvement, ownership and awareness of a wide range of environmental issues including climate change, water management, waste, sustainable transport, bushland and coastal management.
The City’s ‘Programs for Schools’ brochure outlines the education and interpretive opportunities available for students, which can be downloaded from this page under Related Links. Programs available include the Blue Crab Stormwater Education Program; Adopt-a-Beach Kit; Sun, Sand and Surf Kit, and many more.
The TravelSmart and Living Smart Programs provide helpful tips on how households can reduce their environmental footprint and cut the running costs of their homes.
Residents who are interested in undertaking voluntary conservation work will find a range of opportunities within Coastcare and Bushcare programs.
