Swimming Pools

The City's Environmental Health Services Section regularly monitors all public swimming pools and spas within the City of Mandurah to ensure they comply with the Health (Swimming Pool) Regulations 1964.

Pool Sampling

Environmental Health Officers conduct testing to ensure there is sufficient disinfectant such as chlorine and that the pool is kept at the correct pH and microbial (including amoeba) levels. These regular assessments are to ensure the safety to City of Mandurah residents and visitors.

The City's Environmental Health Officers can provide information to private swimming pool owners about how to ensure that their pool is safe and will not cause illness to users. The document Making Sense of Pool Chemistry provides detailed information on ensuring your pool is safe for swimming.
