Key Functions of the Organisational Development Team:
General Human Resource Management
- Administration of policy and procedures.
- Secure and confidential maintenance of accurate employee records.
- Statistics maintenance
- Budget management.
Recruitment, Selection and Induction
- Acknowledgment and processing of employment applications along with the maintenance of an employment application database
- Coordinate advertising of vacancies, interviews and selection of new employees
- Provide new employees with an effective employment induction and safety induction to the organisation.
Employee Performance Management
- Coordination of Performance Appraisals.
- Advice and assistance to supervisors and managers.
Employee Support
- Provide advice to employees including grievance resolution, career prospects, training and personal development.
Training and Development
- Develop base "Training and Development" plans for all new employees up to Senior Officer Level.
Industrial Relations
- Provision of advice on industrial relations.
- Interpretation application of Awards and employment conditions.
- Liaison with Union officials and industrial parties.
Occupational Safety and Health
- Promote and maintain and effective Occupational Safety and Health procedures.
- Follow up Accident and incidents.
Remuneration and Benefits
- Assist with annual salary reviews.
- Provide analysis of industry and private sector salary trends.
Workers Compensation
- Administer workers compensation including claims, records and liaison with insurers.
- Coordination of Rehabilitation of injured employees.
Payroll
- Interpretation and application of relevant awards ensuring accurate payment of wages and salaries and the administration / payment of superannuation and workers compensation.
