Application for Planning Approval
A planning application is required for all development within the City of Mandurah. In determining a planning application, the City seeks to ensure that a proposal:
- Complies with the City of Mandurah's Town Planning Scheme No 3;
- The proposed land use and buildings are appropriate for the property, dependant on its zoning;
- Has no detrimental visual impact upon a locality.
- Has no adverse impact upon occupants of adjacent properties in the locality.
What is required with a Planning Application?
A planning application shall be made on the attached form and lodged with the City of Mandurah together with the following:
- Site Plan (five copies for developments under $1 million and 7 copies for developments over $1 million copies; one of which must be an A3 copy) on a scale of 1:100, 1:200 or 1:500 showing:and accurate metric plans, in accordance with the details on the reverse side of the planning application form;
- Assessment fee, as detailed below;
- Any other written information that you feel would help in the consideration of the application.

| $5 million - $21.5 million | $10462 + 0.1% for every $1.00 in excess of $5 million |
| Greater than $21.5 million | $30769 |
* The City may impose an additional charge if the application requires additional information specific to that application.
Miscellaneous (No GST applicable)
Change of Use - $246
* If the change of use or the alteration or extension or change of the non-conforming use has commenced, an additional amount of $492.00 by way of penalty.
Advertising (No GST applicable)
Fees are based on the following criteria;
- $50 for consultation with adjoining owners only
- $125 for consultation with adjoining owners and sign on site
- $200 for wider consultation, sign on site and notice in newspaper
