PROPOSED OUTLINE DEVELOPMENT PLAN (ODP)
Lot 6 & 9000 Lakes Road and Lot 14 Pinjarra Road, Mandurah

 

The City of Mandurah has adopted the above Outline Development Plan for the purpose of advertising and inviting public comment.

The main aspects of the ODP are:

  • Service Commercial is proposed for 4.65ha of the property, with the primary use being Showroom;
  • Residential R20 is proposed for the remaining 0.65ha;
  • Preliminary design guidelines have been incorporated to assist development in accordance with the intent and vision of the Mandurah East Structure Plan.

Copies of the ODP will be available for viewing at the City of Mandurah Administration Office, 3 Peel Street, Mandurah, between 8.15am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.  The ODP can also be downloaded below:

PROPOSED FORESHORE & WETLAND MANAGEMENT PLANS
 LOT 479 SOUTHERN ESTUARY ROAD, HERRON

 

The City of Mandurah invites public comment on the proposed Foreshore, Environmental Protection Policy and Conservation Category Wetland Management Plans for Lot 479 Southern Estuary Road, Herron.

The primary aim of the management plans is to conserve the natural environment of the area, while allowing compatible community access for appreciation and passive recreation.  The objectives of the Management Plans are to:

  • Protect and conserve the natural values of the wetland including vegetation and fauna habitats;
  • Promote the area as a conservation, recreation and education resource for the use and enjoyment of the local community and visitors;
  • Provide sustainable access for passive recreational use;
  • Outline a long-term strategy for the management of existing vegetation and habitat and implementation of restoration strategies;
  • Raise public awareness and understanding of the values of foreshores and wetlands and the issues associated with their management;
  • Encourage community involvement in the management and a sense of community ownership of the foreshore and wetland; and
  • Identify management and implementation responsibilities.
