ROADWORKS

Intersection of Peel Street, Rockford Street and Sutton Street

As part of the City’s ongoing program of upgrading its infrastructure, I advise that roadworks will take place at intersection of Peel Street, Rockford Street and Sutton Street, commencing 7th July 2008, circumstances and weather permitting.

The project is anticipated to be completed within three weeks and works will involve a full reconstruction of the road at the intersection. Reinstatements may continue for a further week beyond the construction period.

In order to implement a traffic management plan to ensure the safety of all road users, residents and road workers, it will be necessary to install temporary road closures at the intersection during the construction period (refer plan shown). Accordingly, Peel Street, Rockford Street and Sutton Street will be closed at the intersection.

Access to emergency services and local residents within the boundaries of closed roads will be provided at all times. During the road closure, vehicular traffic will be diverted to adjoining road networks as shown on the plan.

Working hours will be between 7:00am and 4:00pm, Monday to Friday, during the construction period. Road users and residents are urged to take extra care during the roadworks in order to maintain safety on the roads.

ROADWORKS

Stage 2 – City Centre Traffic Management Modifications

As part of the City’s ongoing program of upgrading its infrastructure, I advise that roadworks will take place at the intersection of Tuckey Street and Sholl Street, Mandurah commencing 25th June 2008, circumstances and weather permitting. These roadworks will be carried out in 4 phases:

  1. Removal of all islands within the intersection of Tuckey Street and Sholl Street
  2. Closure of the left turning lane off Tuckey Street into Sholl Street, for removal of a large palm tree and road construction works.
  3. Kerbing works to be completed at the intersection of Tuckey Street and Sholl Street.
  4. Asphalt to be layed.

The project is anticipated to be completed within two weeks and works will involve the reconstruction of the intersection of Tuckey Street and Sholl Street, Mandurah.
Reinstatements may continue for a further two weeks beyond the construction period.

Phase 1:
The removal of the islands will commence on the 25th June 2008 and is anticipated to be completed in 2 days. In order to implement a traffic management plan to ensure the safety of all road users, residents will be able to travel through the roadworks adhering to all road signage and directions given by traffic controllers. It is recommended that residents use an alternative route to minimize delays.

Phase 2:
For the removal of the large palm tree and road construction works, please be advised that the left turning lane off Tuckey Street into Sholl Street will be closed and the left turn into the Woolworths Carpark will be closed temporarily. This closure will commence on the 29th June 2008 and will be completed by 8th July 2008.

Phase 3:
Kerbing works will commence on the 7th July 2008. This is estimated to be completed in one day. Residents will be able to travel through the roadworks adhering to all road signage and directions given by traffic controllers.

Phase 4:
The asphalt will be layed on the 8th July 2008, circumstances and weather permitting. This will be completed in one day

Shool Street Closure

Working hours will be between 7:00am and 4:00pm, during the construction period.

Road users and residents are urged to take extra care during the roadworks in order to maintain safety on the roads.

Between Mandurah Road and Mandurah Terrace

As part of the City’s ongoing program of upgrading its infrastructure, I advise that roadworks will take place at Gordon Road, between Fremantle Road and Mandurah Terrace, commencing 17 March 2008, circumstances and weather permitting.

The project is anticipated to be completed by the end of June and works will involve a full reconstruction of the road between Fremantle Road and Mandurah Terrace. Reinstatements may continue for a further week beyond the construction period.

In order to implement a traffic management plan to ensure the safety of all road users, residents will be required to travel through the road works adhering to all road rules and signage.

Gordon Road
 

Working hours will be between 7:00am and 4:00pm, Monday to Friday, during the construction period.

Road users and residents are urged to take extra care during the roadworks in order to maintain safety on the roads.
