CRAB FEST VOLUNTEERS

Crab Fest volunteers Colin and Melanie Tozer have not only scored a free double pass to movies at Reading Cinemas, they’ll also have a heap of fun helping out over the Crab Fest weekend, according to Mandurah Mayor Paddi Creevey.

“Our Community Events and Festival Coordinator Jodie Jankevics still needs more volunteers for various shifts, which is why I’m urging people in our community to consider helping out,” Mayor Creevey said.

“The shifts are only four hours long and can be on any day from March 7 to 9, so why not team up with family or friends like Colin and Melanie have done?”

Volunteers are needed for a wide range of tasks, such as selling drinks, looking after the information booth, setting up for the event, drivers and general helpers.  To identify themselves as Crab Fest vollies, each volunteer is also issued with a free volunteer T-shirt and hat.

For more information, contact Jodie Jankevics on 9550 3869 or email jodie-j@mandurah.wa.gov.au.

You can also download a volunteer form from the Crab Fest section under the Tourism icon on the City of Mandurah’s website www.mandurah.wa.gov.au.
