MANDURAH LIBRARY CLOSING FOR STOCK TAKE

26-06-2008
Mandurah Library is closing for a stock take of books from June 30 to July 4 as part of a state-wide program that ultimately will make it easier for patrons to locate books on library shelves.

Coordinator Libraries and Learning Alasdair Wardle said the library stock take would lead to an improved service and would ensure library records of books and other items were accurate.

“To enable staff to check the 40,000 items on the shelves, we need to close Mandurah Library for five days so we apologise for any inconvenience to our patrons,” Mr Wardle said.

“We have made arrangements to extend loan periods to our patrons as well as provide a return facility at the library during the stock take, and Falcon eLibrary and Community Centre will be open if Mandurah Library patrons want to take out or return books during the stock take period.”

Anyone wanting for information about the stock take can contact Mr Wardle on 9550 3651.
