GO ON A UNIQUE SHOPPING ADVENTURE WITH EBAY

09-05-2008
As part of the Mandurah libraries’ celebration of Library and Information Week from May 19 to 25, Falcon eLibrary and Community Centre will hold a free talk about shopping on eBay on Tuesday May 20 from 1.00pm to 2.30pm.

Accredited eBay education specialist Julie Martin will speak about the amazing deals available on eBay and reassure potential shoppers who might be a bit daunted about getting started.

It is 13 years since eBay was launched, and became the world’s most popular online marketplace.

Alongside everyday sales and auctions, eBay boasts legendary deals, such as the reported sale in January last year of a cooked but uneaten Brussels sprout for US$29,000.

According to Ms Martin, buying items on eBay is a unique shopping adventure especially for bargains and selling items on eBay is a simple and effective way to reclaim space in the home or generate a primary or secondary income.

Bookings for the talk are essential so phone Leigh Angilley on 9550 3230 or download the full week’s program of events under Tourism at the City of Mandurah website www.mandurah.wa.gov.au.

Falcon eLibrary and Community Centre is on the corner of Flavia Street and Cobblers Road in Falcon.
