HUGE TURNOUT FOR BMX ‘COME AND TRY’ DAY
About 50 riders aged five upwards turned up to Catepillar Park at Milgar Reserve on November 1 to participate in a ‘Come and Try’ Day organised by Peel BMX Club as part of the City of Mandurah’s successful Expressions Sessions program.
The BMX Club ran a free two-hour workshop for 25 members and 25 additional riders without having to turn anyone away under its ‘no helmet, no ride’ policy as all riders remembered to bring their helmets.
Peel BMX Club now runs track racing competitions every Friday night at Milgar Reserve on Park Road with registrations at 6.00pm sharp and races by age groups starting at 6.30 pm.
Anyone wanting more information can contact the City of Mandurah’s Youth Development Officer Mike Delo on 0417 985 382 or Kim Rigby from Mandurah BikeMan on 9582 9525.
