- The City of Mandurah has brought down a $109 million budget for 2009-10 with $38.2 million dedicated to capital works projects that will deliver new or enhanced facilities to sporting and community groups as well as bolster the local economy.

- One of Mandurah’s historic Canary Island Date Palm trees has returned to the city centre, finding a new home on the upgraded Mary Street roundabout, close to the old Mandurah traffic bridge.

PLANS ENDORSED TO IMPROVE CITY CENTRE TRAFFIC

- Mandurah City Council has endorsed plans that will help improve southbound traffic flow on Mandurah Terrace from Tuckey Street by constructing a longer eastbound left-hand turn slip lane into Pinjarra Road.
