Training Facilities

A place for seniors to meet, recreate, participate and learn.  Offers computer classes and facilities, dining room, podiatry, hairdressing, library, arts and crafts, outings, concerts, activities.People 55+ years old are eligible to become members and utilise the centre. Hours: 8.30am-4.30pm. Centre vehicle available to transport members from home to Centre - gold coin donation

Large community hall with high ceilings, kiosk/kitchen facilities, carpeted floor and separate dance floor.  This facility is airconditioned and has plenty of natural light coming through the many windows.

The pavilion is suitable for many activities including, dance, karate, tutoring and church group activities.  The main hall is ideal for a variety of large functions, however a party ban was imposed on the facility due to damage.  If you wish to hire this facility, please forward function details for consideration by the Manager Recreation Services and Centres.  Capacity 150 people seated.
Please note that crockery, cutlery and linen are not provided at Council facilities - hirers must supply their own.

Community First works to make a positive difference through employment, training and community services. The organisation manages a diverse range of programs that train, educate and support people to enter the work place. Services to HACC-eligible clients also include the Arts Activity Resource Centre, home maintenance and domestic assistance. Hours: 8.30am-4.30pm

Offers career and training advice and guidance, and training courses in employability skills and computer skills.  Programs include: Profit from Experience (for mature age clients seeking employment); Parents as Partners; and the School Leavers Program. Public facilities include open access computers and video conferencing. Hours: Mon-Fri 8.30am-4.30pm

Public library, offering a wide range of community and information services including free internet access. Hours: Mon -Wed10am-6pm; Thu10am- 8pm; Fri 10am-6pm: Sat 10am-4pm

Whether you're looking for somewhere to play sport, use the gym, or hold a function, the fully equipped recreation centre at Halls Head is a great place to spend your leisure time. Ask our receptionists about the flexible range of memberships and entry fees. Smaller community hall with hard wood floors and face brick. Children’s playground which overlooks Coote Reserve.  The hall is ideal for a variety of smaller functions such as family reunions, club meetings, training sessions and seminars.  Capacity 80 people.

For all your health and fitness needs, look no further than the Mandurah Aquatic and Recreation Centre (MARC).  The MARC has something for everyone, regardless of your level of fitness or the results you're seeking. The Centre offers a full range of membership packages and savings on entry to make keeping healthy an affordable pastime.

Services include: Group Fitness Classes, Water Aerobics, Swim School classes, School holiday program, Junior programs, club and team sports, 2x25mtre pools, toddler pool, sauna, spa, gymnasium, circuit room, multi-purpose sports courts, squash courts, creche & cafe.
Hours: Mon-Thu 5.30am-9pm; Fri 5.30am-8.30pm; Sat 7.30am-6.00pm; Sun (and public hols) 7.30am-6.00pm.

Public library, offering a wide range of community and information services, including home delivery for housebound residents, children's storytelling sessions  rhyme time sessions for bibies and toddlers and free internet access.

Modern sporting pavilion with amenities for both home and away teams. Large kitchen and kiosk, external playground and parking area. Available for hire.
Booking admin: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm

Computer club for seniors. teaching computer, internet and digital camera skills. Group also offers social outings. Meetings held on the fourth Monday of each month, 1.30pm, at the Senior Citizens Centre.

The pavilion is suitable for many activities and sports – netball, football, dance, meetings and various other activities.  Capacity 120 people seated.
