During the initial response to the pandemic in 2020, the City announced a three-phase Mandurah COVID-19 Plan. This plan focuses on the roles of the City, our partners and community in helping reduce the impact to our economy, health, community and environment.

The plan includes the following phases and initiatives.

Phase 1 – Response Plan

This phase was developed to provide immediate support for our community. We checked-in with each other and helped coordinate support networks coordination. This phase of the plan is complete but the kindness of the Mandurah community continues.

Phase 2 – Restart Mandurah

Restart Mandurah is an ongoing initiative. It includes the following:

  • Rates and fee relief.
  • $5m COVID restart fund.
  • Development of an economic taskforce.
  • Support for businesses with local spending and increased visitation.

Phase 3 – Transform Mandurah

Transform Mandurah includes a number of ongoing projects. These align to the Strategic Community Plan 2020-2040.
