About the Event
The Mandurah Plein Air Artists Lakelands Library Exhibition
Visit Lakelands Library & Community Centre during September to view the Mandurah Plein Air Artists Exhibition.
This exhibition presents original paintings by ten of the Mandurah Plein Air Artists as part of the Plein Air Down Under Outdoor Painting Festival's calendar of events. Each painting has been created outdoors, or as the French would say "en plein air" in Mandurah and surrounding areas.
Plein air artists respond to light, mood and atmosphere, capturing a moment in time. Working without photographic reference produces results that are authentic, spontaneous and often energetic.
Exhibiting Artists:
Corrine Rapley
Marion Player
Louise Penny
Peter Munday
Lisa Wray
Barb Thoms
Roy Harris
Tracey Crossland
Dawn Flaherty
Patricia Nath
Mandurah Plein Air Artists (Inc) was established in 2011 and is a not-for profit self-funded community art organisation. The group aims to provide a friendly environment and foster the development and enjoyment of plein air painting through practice, mentoring, workshops and exhibitions.
