Young people in Mandurah are set to enjoy a range of fun activities as part of the City of Mandurah’s school holiday program, which kicks off on December 12.
Over 150 different activities are on offer for people aged from 0-25 years old during the six-week period.
Mayor Rhys Williams recognised the importance of encouraging young people to thrive and was proud of the City of Mandurah’s school holiday program offerings that help to build the skills and capacity of local youth.
“I believe it’s so important to support, nurture and help to grow the capacity of our young people,” he said.
“It’s great to see what’s on offer these school holidays because what they learn and gets them excited today will help shape their future.”
Some of the highlights during the holidays include the skill-building barista course, fun reading and writing activities at the libraries, macramé sessions, excursions and pool inflatable sessions at the Mandurah Aquatic and Recreation Centre.
The City is committed to providing ways for young people to get involved in the community and express their creative talents and personalities, as supported by the City’s Youth Strategy 2014-2018.
