Nominations for the Local Government Elections open this week and interested residents in the City of Mandurah are encouraged to apply.
The 2019 Local Government Election will be held on Saturday, October 19.
Nominations are open for a one-week period, from Thursday, 5 September through to Thursday, 12 September, closing at 4:00pm.
Those with a passion for serving the community and contributing towards the decision-making process of local government are being encouraged to put their names forward for one of six positions.
There is one vacancy each in the Town and East wards, and two vacancies each in the Coastal and North wards, all with four-year terms.
The City is encouraging people from diverse backgrounds to nominate for election as a local government Councillor.
Representing the community provides a unique opportunity to contribute towards shaping the future of Mandurah and actively being involved in the community.
