Those looking for unique food experiences like no other should look no further than the Channel 7 Mandurah Crab Fest, which is now less than three weeks away.

From mouth-watering seafood, including fresh and cooked crabs, to smoked meats, sweet treats and local wines and brews, Crab Fest will feature a huge range of food and drink experiences to suit all taste buds, including those that don’t like crabs.

Seafood lovers will not be disappointed, with a delicious range of crab-inspired dishes and seafood on offer. Grab a feed of fresh crabs to eat at the festival, or take home to enjoy, from the Surf n Turf area.

Internationally renowned chef, restauranteur and television presenter Pete Evans will join the Crab Fest experience as this year’s culinary ambassador. Evans has been co-host and judge of My Kitchen Rules for 11 seasons.

The much-loved food hub – the Coles Buy West East Best Cooking Stage – will again highlight all the culinary delights, and will be hosted by WA’s Food Ambassador Chef Don Hancey. Pete Evans, local chefs and TV personalities will be doing live cooking demonstrations on the stage across the weekend, and the audience will have the chance to taste some of the dishes they create at the new
taste-testing table.

Head to the Local Kitchen to try some of Mandurah’s signature dishes or try some flavours from further afield at the new Taste of the State area. This year, Crab Fest has teamed up with Coles and Buy West East Best to sample some of the freshest morsels from local and regional food producers. Plus with three licenced areas along the foreshore, festival-goers will be sure to find a cold beverage to sip while relaxing and taking in the festival’s buzz.

Graze your way through the festival by trying the varied options from the Local Kitchen food marquees which will feature local businesses with a range of savouries, desserts and drinks for everyone, all designed to be enjoyed in Mandurah fashion – alfresco style.

If the thought of grilled and smoked meat, vegetables and seafood gets your mouth watering, secure your tickets now to Seared and Smoked, a relaxed and authentic food adventure overlooking the beautiful Peel Harvey Estuary.

Seared and Smoked will be held on Friday, March 13 at 6.30pm on the Eastern Foreshore and tickets are $95, which includes a drink on arrival. Be part of the theatrical cooking action as chefs whip up a delicious menu in front of guests. This will be a truly unique food experience.

Crab Fest is WA’s biggest free regional festival, showcasing two days of amazing food, entertainment and activities while celebrating local produce from around the Peel region.

Crab Fest was inducted into the Perth Airport WA Tourism Awards Hall of Fame late last year, claiming the prestigious title after winning Gold in the Major Festivals and Events category for three consecutive years (2016-2018).
