Mandurah Bridge Photographic Award

To celebrate the opening of the Mandurah Bridge we invite our community to share images of the bridges, old and new, through the Transformation Mandurah Bridge Photographic Award.

Transformation Mandurah Bridge Photographic Award

Designed in consultation with the community, the newly completed bridge has been enthusiastically received, with many people capturing images of the transformation.

Since the late 19th century, the bridges between the city centre and Halls Head have held a special place in the hearts of many. When our community walked across the Old Mandurah Traffic Bridge for the last time, more than 800 people shared their memories of the old bridge.

We were touched by stories of generations of families who have fished, crabbed or prawned from the bridges; loved ones who have been laid to rest there; and of significant life events celebrated at this ‘meeting place of the heart’.

Shortlisted images and chosen memories collected at the August community walk will be on display at Mandurah Museum, and a photo book will be created to as a keepsake of this memorable achievement.
