Community invited to help shape future Blue Bay Foreshore upgrades
Residents are being invited to help shape the future of Blue Bay Foreshore, with the City of Mandurah seeking community feedback ahead of planned upgrades to the popular waterfront reserve.
The community consultation marks the first step in the project and gives local residents the opportunity to share what they love about the foreshore, identify areas for improvement and highlight any features they would like to see retained as part of future upgrades.
Blue Bay Foreshore is a valued local destination where people come to relax, enjoy the water, connect with nature and spend time with family and friends. As one of Mandurah's many foreshore reserves, it plays an important role in supporting the outdoor lifestyle and strong connection to waterways that our community values.
The project presents an opportunity to enhance the foreshore while celebrating the natural beauty of the area and protecting the environmental values that make it special.
Community feedback may identify opportunities for new features and amenities, while also highlighting existing elements that should be preserved.
Protecting the environment will be a key consideration throughout the project. Ecologically sensitive dune vegetation along the foreshore will be protected in the design and construction process, helping to preserve the area's natural character for future generations.
There will also be an opportunity to speak directly with City staff at a community pop-up event on Tuesday, 6 October 2026.
Feedback received during this phase of engagement will help inform the development of a concept design, which will be presented back to the community for further input before being finalised.
Community members can share their feedback online through Mandurah Matters: www.mandurahmatters.com.au/blue-bay-foreshore-upgrade
Submissions close Tuesday, 17 November 2026.
