Mandurah collage artist and facilitator, Claire Pannell, will take you on a trip down memory lane. Enjoy the process of cutting, chatting, and sharing memories and materials. Bring your design to life using your imagination, scissors and glue.
Beginners and creatives alike are welcomed: use recycled paper for images, create your own paper source materials, explore other materials such as fabrics and get cutting, designing and sticking.
All materials are provided (though you’re welcome to bring your own if you’d like!) and Dr. Claire will be on hand to teach you about the best glues and materials to use, and to provide some great little artistic tricks to make your collage into a real artwork.
What to expect:
- Learn the basics of design and layout
- Learn about materials and glues used by professional collage artists
- Use Letraset transfer lettering, old magazines and special patterned and textured materials. All materials will be provided however feel free to bring materials from home
- Learn artistic tricks used by collage artists
- Have fun with like-minded creative and curious people, and make new friends
- Practice mindfulness through visual art making
- Enhance your visual thinking
- All creations can be taken home as a colourful keepsake

Collage is a fabulous fun playful activity for everyone that offers therapeutic and creative benefits as a low-pressure, accessible art form for all. It reduces anxiety through mindfulness, and enhances visual thinking.
