The Foodbank nom! Children program helps parents and carers build confidence in creating healthy eating habits for young children during the important early years of life. Designed for parents with children aged 0 to 5 years, this free five-week program provides practical information, easy-to-follow strategies and nutritious meal ideas that can be used at home.
Participants will learn about healthy eating for infants and young children, discover ways to make mealtimes less stressful, and gain useful tips on lunchboxes, food safety and understanding food labels. The program also offers an opportunity to connect with other local parents and carers, share experiences and learn from each other in a supportive environment.
Families will receive a range of free resources, including recipe books, a shopping bag, a Let's Feed the Family parent guide and a children's healthy eating plate. The sessions focus on practical, everyday approaches that help families make healthy choices while managing busy schedules and household budgets. Whether you're looking for new ideas, reassurance or support, the nom! Children program provides a welcoming environment to help children develop lifelong healthy eating habits.
