Policies

One of Council’s key functions under the Local Government Act 1995 is to establish the policies of the local government. A policy serves as a statement reflecting the City’s goals, objectives, and guiding principles across various areas. Council supports the regular review of all policies, with amendments to existing policies and the creation of new policies carried out as needed to ensure they remain relevant and effective.
