About the event 

Explore simple food preservation techniques to extend the life of seasonal produce.

This workshop is part of a budget bites - eat well for less workshop series of hands-on adult cooking classes, delivered by qualified nutritionist Nicole Ingram from Grow Cook Eat. The classes focus on reducing food cost, minimising waste, healthy meal preparation and building everyday skills in the kitchen.

• 3 June - Thrifty Bites - Dawesville Community Centre. Learn how to create affordable, healthy meals using leftovers and reduce food waste.

• 17 June - Soulful Soups: Tasty Cheap Eats - Dawesville Community Centre. Cook nourishing, low-cost meals while learning menu planning and budgeting tips.

• 24 June - Winter Warmers: Cooking in Bulk - Halls Head Parade. Learn how to prepare freezer-friendly meals in bulk to save time and money.
