Proposal to Adopt a Buy 'Local' Procurement Policy

As part of its commitment to supporting the regional economy, the City of Mandurah proposes to adopt a policy giving regional price preference for the supply of goods and services.

The region to which the price preference policy relates is the City of Mandurah and other districts in the Peel Region.

All tenders currently advertised or advertised during the submission period may be evaluated in accordance with the policy upon its adoption.

A copy of the proposed policy may be inspected at or obtained from 3 Peel Street, Mandurah WA 6210 between the hours of 8.30am - 4.00pm. The policy is also available on the City’s website : View the Buy Local Procurement Policy.

Submissions are invited commenting on the proposed policy, which should be made to tenders@mandurah.wa.gov.au - by 2pm 28 September 2018. The City of Mandurah is committed to its procurement purpose statement which is aimed at strengthening and maintaining a sustainable community through embracing economic, social and environmental initiatives into its procurement strategies and practices.


The City must also comply with its statutory and probity responsibilities, which are managed through transparent and integrated governance frameworks and well-thought-out value for money principals.


This section covers all upcoming procurement's being run by Governance and Tenders under a structured procurement process. These include Tenders (valued over $150k), Formal Requests for Quotation (valued over $75k) and Expressions of Interest and are being provided to allow for early tender or quotation preparation by suppliers in the Upcoming Procurement Section.


All tenders are publicly advertised in the West Australian newspaper in the Local Government section of the Classifieds.

  • They may also be advertised in local newspapers.
  • The lowest of any tender/quotation is not necessarily accepted.
  • Canvassing of Elected Members or employees of the City will automatically disqualify an applicant.
  • Late tenders will not be considered.

City of Mandurah E-Procurement

The City of Mandurah uses the Tenderlink portal to advertise tenders and other purchasing requirements to the market and to manage the procurement process through to contract award stage.

Free Supplier Registration
