The Mandurah WayFairer Project captures the grossly underutilised knowledge, skills, experience, interests and talents amongst adults aged 50 + (WayFairers), supporting them to repurpose these attributes into the local community while building the capacity of their local community organisation and sharing their wealth of knowledge.

The Mandurah WayFairer Project is a 5 year partnership project by the City of Mandurah and Inclusion Solutions which will see participating community members aged 50+ (The Wayfairer’s) connected with valued volunteer roles in the community based on their individual talents and interests. It will also give local clubs and groups the chance to increase their volunteer bases and assess the gaps and needs of their organisation.

If you are retired or approaching retirement, the WayFairers project can assist you with:

  • Transitioning to retirement
  • Keeping active in community
  • Discovering your talents & gifts
  • Connecting you to clubs & groups
  • Social connection with other WayFairers
