About the Event

Sciteam is coming to Mandurah Library for this year's National Science Week!

Join Dr Claire Pennell for this special National Science Week workshop which includes demonstrations and activities in finding out how glass can shape sound.

Experiment with different amounts of water and different sized and shaped glass containers to find out how it affects sound.

Make your own glass xylophone that can be tuned to a range of notes. Listen to the different sounds and find out which colour water makes the highest or lowest sound.

Experiment with making a glass harp with wine glasses and water. Adjust the water level in the glass to make a range of notes.

This is a free event.

Suitable for ages 5-12.

Please note: Children under 7 must be assisted by an adult carer. Younger children can participate with an adult carer.
