Immerse yourself in the magic of Christmas as you stroll along the captivating lights trail in the heart of Mandurah

About the Event

Discover the magic of Christmas here in Australia’s Top Tourism Town with the City of Mandurah Christmas Lights Trail presented by Ray White Mandurah.

Each night in December through until January 7, be awestruck as you explore the free-to-view trail along Eastern Foreshore, Mandjar Square and the Mandurah Ocean Marina, all adorned with brilliant new additions around every corner.

The Mandurah Christmas Lights Trail officially switches on as part of the City of Mandurah Christmas Pageant presented by Ray White Mandurah festivities on December 1.

Santa himself will be lighting up the foreshore, standing at a towering over four metres - you can't miss him! Joining him on this journey is his reindeer and sleigh, a whimsical Volkswagen bus, a stunning 10.5m-tall Christmas tree, and a beautifully lit pirate ship.

This year we're going all out, with 30 light installations including Christmas trees over the water to get everyone in the festive spirit.

New to this year's experience, look out for a selection of augmented reality (AR) experiences throughout the trail.

Say cheese! Snap a picture with your loved ones and share the festive joy with #ChristmasinMandurah

Whether you choose to take a walk through the lights up close or take in their breathtaking brilliance from the water, you're in for a festive treat right in the heart of the city this Christmas in Mandurah.

But wait, there's more! While the Christmas lights dazzle, enjoy a whole array of family-friendly entertainment, festive activities and roving performers each night from 6pm-9pm between December 1 until Christmas Eve (5pm-8pm Christmas Eve).

We can’t wait to see you this Christmas in Mandurah!

Did you know that there is an accessible pathway for the Mandurah Christmas Lights trail? While some Christmas light installations are set up on the grass, many are positioned along pathways or on solid surfaces, making them easily accessible for even more festive fun. View the Christmas lights trail map for more accessibility information.

A social story is available to aid in preparation for your visit, along with a downloadable communication board for use along the trail. Accessible facilities, including a Changing Places facility and accessible toilets, are conveniently located near the Mandurah Visitor Centre. The trail has pathway access, ACROD parking in key areas such as the City Centre, Mandjar Square, and the Mandurah Ocean Marina, as well as seating along the route and a mobility scooter recharge station on the Eastern Foreshore. Please note that some lights are placed on the grass and may not be reachable from the pathways.

Enhance your Christmas Lights Trail experience with audio files for the VW Kombi Van, Train, Star Archway, and Christmas Elf light installations. Scan the QR code at each location or download directly from this page. Bring your own earphones for an immersive listening experience.

A Social Story™ uses storytelling to help people, especially those feeling nervous about new places or events, understand and navigate unfamiliar experiences more comfortably.

A communication or chat board is a simple tool with symbols and words, helping individuals who have difficulty speaking express themselves by pointing to or selecting the relevant options.
