Course InformationThis course from Royal Life Saving is nationally accredited, meets the Level 2 Workplace First Aid standard as determined by Work Safe, Western Australia and HLTAID003 First Aid. The senior first aid certificate is valid for three years after which you should take a refresher course.
Courses are conducted by City of Mandurah staff who are accredited by Royal Lifesaving Society of WA.
Minimum Age RequirementsThere is no minimum age requirement although all participants must be able to participate in an adult learning environment.
Course Duration16 hours over two days
CertificationSuccessful candidates will receive an RLSSWA Senior First Aid Certificate, RLSSWA Resuscitation Certificate, and Statement of Attainment that includes the following unit of competency from the National Health Training, HLTAID003 - Provide first aid.
Includes professional instruction, first aid learning resources and key ring face shield.
What you need to bring

- Assorted sandwiches can be purchased from the Cafe at Mandurah Aquatic and Recreation Centre.
- Please wear clothing that is comfortable and loose fitting
- A pen
- Photo identification
- Your USI Number
You will be required to complete the resuscitation component on the floor. This is a requirement of passing the course.
The City of Mandurah has a partnership arrangement with The Royal Life Saving Society Western Australia Inc (RLSSWA) RTO #0854 to deliver and assess this unit on their behalf. RLSSWA are the Registered Training Organisation (RTO) therefore the City of Mandurah follows all of RLSSWA's organisational policies and procedures when delivering and assessing all units of competence. All correspondence related to the policies and procedures should be directed to the office (08) 9383 8200. A fee of $18.70 will be paid to RLSSWA for issuance of certificates and statements of attainment.
