The final stage of upgrades to Peel Street, between Anstruther Road and Sutton Street, are currently underway.
The first stage was the relocation of the utility services for the future road alignment. These works progressed ahead of schedule and are now complete.
We will now be transitioning from Stage 1 works to Stage 2 which will involve a major traffic switch.
The traffic switch will result in a one-way partial closure of Peel Street between Anstruther Road and Sutton Street, starting with closure of Eastbound traffic from 13 February 2024 until August 2024. Access to Peel Street from Forrest Street and Randell Street will be closed / restricted until completion of the project and will be controlled by on-site detour signage.
Access to local businesses and residences in the area will be maintained throughout the works.
These traffic arrangements should not affect traffic travelling to Mandurah Foreshore via Peel Street, however for road users wishing to leave Mandurah Foreshore via Peel Street, please follow the detours in place.
