You can search for items available at Mandurah Library, Lakelands Library and Community Centre, and Falcon eLibrary and Community Centre in the online library catalogue. This is an external website.

Online Resources for Library Members

You can use your library card to access these online resources anywhere, anytime.  


Busythings is an online resource for children that includes fun learning activities focusing on creative development, problem solving, reasoning, numeracy, communication, language and literacy, and knowledge and understanding of the world. Busythings is provided through Better Beginnings supporting families in sharing a love of reading.


Kanopy is a video Streaming platform for public libraries delivering one of the largest collections of indie films, classic cinema, festival and educational documentaries, and movies online or through an app. The services enable Public Library and State Library members to browse and view over 30,000 films and documentaries from top suppliers, including the BBC, Criterion Collection, Ronin Films and Madman Entertainment. Once selected, each film may be viewed, paused, finished and re-watched over a 72 hour period before requesting again. Once signed in you can view up to four films or documentaries within a one month loan period. These are updated on the first of every month.



Story Box Library

Story Box Library is a beautiful online reading room where the wonderful world of Australian Children's Literature is on permanent exhibition. Enjoy a vibrant, interactive experience from a range of storytellers, each sharing past and present book titles. Film is also used to connect children with the stories.

Ancestry Library Edition

Discover your unique family history online. Ancestry Library Edition includes billions of records from around the world, including the United States of America, United Kingdom and Canadian census, immigration and passport records, journals, books, and photos.

Building Code of Australia

You can access the National Construction Code through the Building Codes of Australia from a computer within the library, just ask the library staff for the login details. The National Construction Code includes the Building Code of Australia (BCA) (Volume 1&2). It covers structure, fire resistance, health and amenity, plumbing, building access and egress, and building services and equipment.

Find information online on the performance of the economy, the wellbeing of the population, the condition of the environment and the challenges faced by regional and rural communities from the Australian Bureau of Statistics. 

Australian Dictionary of Biography

Like to know more about the people who shaped Australia? The Australian Dictionary of Biography has over 12,000 online biographies for people from all walks of life, including prime ministers, artists and murderers.

National Archives of Australia

The National Archives of Australia has records of the events and decisions that shaped our nation. You can read cabinet notes, search for the armed service records of relatives and read other historical documents.

State Library of Western Australia

The State Library of Western Australia aims to enrich the lives of Western Australians by enabling access to resources for information, learning, enterprise and recreation; and collecting and preserving our social and documentary heritage for current and future generations.

State Records Office of Western Australia

The State Records Office of Western Australia is responsible for managing, preserving and providing access to the states archives. Information on over two million government records is available online.

The Cochrane Library

The Cochrane Library is a collection of evidence-based medical reviews from Cochrane, other systematic reviews and clinical trials. These online reviews explore the evidence for and against the appropriateness and effectiveness of treatments including medications, surgery and education.


Trove is an online catalogue of over 440 million items held in libraries across Australia, including university, state and public libraries. Items include books, films, music, maps, images and historic newspapers.
