Convention Scholarship (Aspire Program)

City of Mandurah $5,000 Aspire Convention Scholarship

The City of Mandurah Convention Scholarship is a $5,000 grant that is awarded to an individual representing a non-profit association to assist in their professional development by funding attendance at a conference in their chosen field of endeavour.

How do I win?

Simply research an international conference that has the potential to be staged in Mandurah or the Peel region and present a brief case as to why the conference should be held here.

What can the $5,000 be used for?

The award covers air travel as well as accommodation and registration to a relevant conference to a maximum of $5,000. In the event that the successful applicant's organisation is not currently a member of their international body, the $5,000 award can contribute to the cost of their joining fee.

Who funds the awards?

The Scholarship is funded by the Perth Convention Bureau (PCB) under its Aspire Program. PCB is responsible for marketing Mandurah and Western Australia both nationally and internationally as a conference destination. In fulfilling this role the PCB assists individuals and organisations to bring their national and international conferences to the State. The awards program aims to raise the profile of individuals and their professional organisations, showcasing the ground breaking research and development being undertaken by local organisations and ultimately resulting in conferences being secured for the State, delivering economic and social benefit to Mandurah and the Peel region.

The City of Mandurah is proud to be associated with the great work of Perth Convention Bureau and we are happy to sponsor the City of Mandurah Convention Scholarship as part of the Aspire Program.

Through this program, individuals of non-profit organisations are encouraged to further their professional development and broaden their skills, in turn providing enormous benefits to the community.

The Aspire Program helps people grow, achieve and inspire and I would encourage anyone interested to apply for one of these prestigious awards.
