About Our Rangers

Rangers have a varied role in helping to protect the city's natural and built assets and are responsible for a upholding community and public safety under the guidance of various State and Local Laws.

Ranger's responsibilities are wide and varied and include animal control, cat and dog registrations, impounded animals, littering, fire permits, fire control, abandoned vehicles, infringements,  and parking. 

Working alongside the community, the Rangers also act as the 'eyes on the street' and are proactive in reporting incidents such as vandalism and damage to amenities and facilities to relevant City departments.
