Seabin Launch with PPG

Join the Peel Preservation Group and the City of Mandurah as they launch the Mandurah Seabins in an Australian first event.

Peel Preservation Group has done an amazing job of coming up with a great environmental initiative and leading it through the project planning phase.
The City of Mandurah has assisted Peel Preservation Group with making their idea come to life.

Seabins have been trialled all around the world, however the installation of two Seabins in Mandurah will be an Australian first.
Mandurah will be the first town in Australia to have Seabins installed commercially.

What is a Seabin

The Seabins are floating rubbish bins that can be placed within water bodies in marinas, yacht clubs, commercial ports and on docks.
The Seabins move up and down with the tides collecting all floating rubbish. Water is sucked in from the surface and passes through a catch bag inside the Seabin, with a submersible water pump capable of displacing 25.000 LPH (litres per hour), plugged directly into 110/220 V outlet. The water is then pumped back into the marina leaving litter and debris trapped in the catch bag to be disposed of properly. The Seabin also has the potential to collect a percentage of oils and pollutants floating on the water surface.

Please join us at the Launch event to switch the Seabins on.
