About the Event

Experience a line-up of immersive electronic music, curated by Tone List in association with Mandurah-based artist Furchick, and performed by artists from across the Bindjareb region, Perth, and Melbourne.

Artistic director of the Australian Art Orchestra, Peter Knight, presents a solo for trumpet and reel-to-reel tape, building whole universes of sound from his instrument. One of Australia’s leading exploratory musicians, Peter’s work has seen him perform in international festivals throughout Europe, Australia, Asia and North America, including collaborations with leading musicians from South Korea, Sri Lanka, Arnhem Land and China.

Peter will be joined by three Western Australian artists. Deep Ecology explores field recordings and processed samples in alluring sound collages. tid.bit is the performance alias of Peel-based sound artist Declan Brown. They use modular synthesis to create complex, constantly evolving textures. Mitchell Freeway uses lo-fi instruments to make gritty ambient sounds.
