Looking for a job, thinking about a career change, or wondering what your next step should be after school?The Mandurah Jobs and Careers Expo is a free local event designed to connect you with the right people, services and support to help you move forward in your career.
Whether you're just starting out, returning to work, or looking for something new, this Expo offers real opportunities to engage directly with:
• Local employers
• Registered training organisations
• Government and employment services
• Career experts offering personalised advice
This is your chance to ask questions, make connections, and get practical support — all in one place.
In addition to browsing stalls and speaking with local employers, you'll have access to three free, practical workshops run by experienced industry professionals. These sessions are designed to give you the skills, strategies and confidence to take the next step in your employment journey.
Whether you need help writing a strong job application, want to improve your interview skills, or are struggling with motivation and anxiety around work, these workshops are packed with useful tips you can apply straight away.
Each session is free, open to everyone, and no bookings are required – just drop in on the day.
Workshop Schedule
Workshop 1: Job application success
Time: 9.20am – 9.50am
Presented by: Jobs and Skills Centre
Learn how to approach the job application process with confidence. This practical session will cover:
• Where to find the right job opportunities
• How to write a resume and cover letter that stands out
• The do’s and don’ts of applying for jobs
• What recruiters look for
Walk away with a simple checklist to make sure your next application hits the mark.
Workshop 2: Managing fear and anxiety during your job search
Time: 10.00am – 10.40am
Presented by: Workskil
If job searching makes you nervous or overwhelmed, you’re not alone. This supportive workshop will help you:
• Recognise how anxiety affects your motivation and mindset
• Learn practical ways to stay calm and focused
• Improve your confidence when preparing for job interviews or starting a new role
• Stay resilient during setbacks
Workshop 3: Nail your interview – essential preparation techniques
Time: 11.00am – 11.30am
Presented by: Jobs and Skills Centre
Make a great impression in your next interview with these tips:
• Understand what employers are really looking for
• Prepare answers to common questions
• Present yourself confidently (even if you're nervous)
• Avoid common mistakes that can cost you the job
Whether you’ve had interviews before or not, this session will give you the tools to walk in feeling ready.

Speak one-on-one with friendly experts who can:
• Help you write or update your resume
• Talk through your career goals and options
• Offer guidance on job search strategies
Physical capacity reviews:
Matchworks’ accredited Exercise Physiologist will be on site to:
• Assess your physical ability for different roles
• Advise you on returning to work safely after an injury
• Help identify your strengths or any limits
