About the Event
We’re teaming up with Grow it Local and our local community gardens for the National Grow it Local Community Garden Tour.Join us at Lakelands Community Garden for a relaxed, hands-on open garden day.
This is your chance to garden alongside celebrity gardener Paul West while exploring your local community garden.
Learn how to harvest seeds or weave a basket, gain gardening knowledge and tips from the pro’s, plant edible seeds to take home and start your growing journey, and connect with local growers while enjoying a great morning in the garden.
Kids can explore the mud kitchen, enjoy garden story time and go-find bingo, and get up close with a range of garden critters.
A coffee and ice-cream truck will be onsite, with the first 250 coffees and ice-creams free. Morning tea provided.
Please wear sun protection and suitable footwear. Bring a hat, water bottle and reusable coffee cup to help keep this event low waste.
