About the Event
Join us for a morning of tree planting and family activities at the 2025 National Tree Day event.
National Tree Day is a nationwide event to educate about the environment and encourage everyone to give back to the natural spaces they live in.
About the event
National Tree Day is part of a season of exciting winter events that is great for the whole family!
This year, we'll be planting at Melros Reserve and in the sand dunes near Melros Beach car park and are inviting our whole community to come down and give us a hand.
The day is a great opportunity to:
- Get your hands in the soil and learn tips for successful planting with City of Mandurah and Bouvard Coastcare
- Learn about our native plants and their importance in combating erosion and protecting our coastal lifestyle
- Contribute to urban greening by helping us plant over 2,500 native seedlings (supporting by the WALGA Urban Greening Grant)
- Create canopy and habitat for local wildlife
- Connect with groups and initiatives to care for the environment all year round
- Learn about the link between mosquitos and a healthy environment from our mozzie team
- Bring the whole family for hands-on environmental and kid's activities, thanks to local community groups
- Take home a native seedling from Men of the Trees
- Enjoy a free sausage sizzle from Mandurah Lions Club
Stepping up to plant today will help shape your future Mandurah as a vibrant and healthy city.
Whether you're a long-time local or new to the area, this is a chance to grow something meaningful, together.
