About the Event

Step back in time and discover how one of the world’s most transformative inventions shaped life in Mandurah and beyond.

This engaging exhibition follows the evolution of communication—from early telegraph technology to the mobile era—featuring fascinating artefacts, local stories, and voices from Mandurah’s own telecommunications history.

Enjoy interactive displays, hands-on vintage telephones, and fun activities for children, as you explore how the telephone connected a community and changed the way we live, work, and talk to one another.

Plus, participate in our Telephone Timeline Hunt free family activity for your chance to Win a LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Retro Telephone Set!
