The Perth and Peel lockdown will end as planned at 12:01am, Saturday 3 July.

Interim restrictions will be in place until 12.01am, Tuesday 6 July as part of a safe and sensible transition out of lockdown.


Masks are mandatory during this period, except for primary school students (unless you have an exemption) and during vigorous outdoor exercise (one hour per day within a 5km radius from home).

Operating hours will be disrupted till Tuesday, 6 July for all City of Mandurah facilities, including the Mandurah Aquatic and Recreation Centre (MARC), Libraries, Seniors and Community Centre, CASM, Billy Dower Youth Centre and Waste Management Facility, as well as community halls and other hireable spaces.

Some City facilities have adjusted their usual operations. Please visit the individual facility web pages or Facebook pages for specific opening details and updates during this time.

Public toilets, playgrounds and skateparks are open to the community – don’t forget to take your mask.

Events between 12.01am, Saturday, 3 July and 12.01am, Tuesday, 6 July are cancelled, including Skating in Mandurah. Some online events may be going ahead; please check with the organisers for further details.

From 12.01am Saturday 3 July – 12.01am Tuesday 6 July
  • Mandatory sign in at all locations using the Safe WA app or sign in register
  • Mandatory use of masks in all facilities, unless a community member has a medical exemption (must be shown to a staff member. Mask exemption badges can be made available to patrons)
  • Public venues such as including, community centres, libraries, museums, galleries and recreation centres can open with the four-square metre capacity rule and 20 patron limit in place;
  • Four square metre capacity rule and 20 patron limit for beauty, nail and hair services;
  • Indoor community sport is not permitted;
  • Fitness venues including gyms, pilates, yoga, dance studios can open with four square metre capacity rule and 20 patron limit in place – no group fitness classes permissible.
From 12.01am Tuesday 6 July – 12.01am Monday 12 July
  • Mandatory sign in at all locations using the Safe WA app or sign in register
  • Mandatory use of masks in all facilities, unless a community member has a medical exemption (must be shown to a staff member. Mask exemption badges can be made available to patrons)
  • Public venues, including, community centres, libraries, museums, galleries, recreation centres, can open with a maximum capacity of 150 persons and the two square metre rule in place.

It’s important to remain vigilant. Things you can do help prevent the possible spread of COVID-19 are:

  • Practise physical distancing by staying at least 1.5m, or two arms lengths, away from others.
  • Wash your hands regularly with soap and water or hand sanitiser, and cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or your elbow.
  • Stay home if you're unwell and get tested for COVID-19 if you have flu-like symptoms.
