With National Volunteer Week around the corner, now is the perfect time to acknowledge the incredible work of our volunteers and passionate community members.
National Volunteer Week is Australia’s largest annual celebration of volunteering and will be held on 16 – 22 May 2022. The theme this year is Better Together.
Why Volunteer?
Volunteering brings people together; it builds communities and creates a better society for everyone and NVW is a chance for all of us to celebrate and recognise the vital work of volunteers and to say thank you. Some of the other great reasons to volunteer include:
- Learn new skills
- Share life experiences and skills
- Meet new people
- Make new friends
- Gain experience and contacts
- Build self confidence
- Have fun
- Socialise
- Stay active and engaged with the community
At the City of Mandurah our volunteers are involved in many facets of the community, including festivals and events, recreation, youth, Seniors Centre, arts, libraries, museum, conservation, and the environment.
How to apply?
