The next stage of road upgrades along Pinjarra Road are well underway as the City of Mandurah continues to improve local road infrastructure and connectivity for the community.  This next stage of works, from Foulkes Place to Sutton Street, is expected to be completed by June 2025 and includes essential road rehabilitation, resurfacing, and stormwater drainage improvements.

Pinjarra Road is one of the main entry roads into Mandurah’s City Centre, playing a pivotal role in the local road network and business community.

Temporary traffic management is in place to ensure the safety of road users and construction workers. Pinjarra Road is partially closed between Sutton Street and Foulkes Place; however, traffic continues to flow in both directions within the westbound lane. The eastbound carriageway will remain closed until February 2025.  Access to homes and businesses will remain open during the construction works.

Access to Pinjarra Road from George Street and Forrest Street is also restricted during this time. Detour signs are in place to help drivers navigate around the closures.

As part of this project, key upgrades include:

  • Improvements to the road surface, pavement, drainage systems, kerbs, line markings, and signage.
  • Renewal of the footpaths
  • Upgrading intersections of Pinjarra Road with Foulkes, Forrest, Boundary, Stevenson, and George streets.
  • Upgrading bus stops along this area to latest PTA (Public Transport Authority) standards.

We appreciate the community’s patience and cooperation as we work to improve this important roadway. For ongoing updates and more details, please visit the City of Mandurah website.
