The Grow It Local Awards are back for their fifth year! Proudly supported by the City of Mandurah, these fun, community-focused awards are all about celebrating homegrown creativity, local food gardens, and the people who make it happen.
This year, there’s a brand-new category – The Local Grower – to shine a light on the unsung heroes in our community who are transforming their spaces into something special. Whether it’s a backyard veggie patch, a school food garden, or a thriving community space, this award is for anyone making a difference with their green thumbs.
Paul West, broadcaster, author, and Grow It Local co-founder, says:
“This award is about celebrating those local legends who are nurturing their own spaces at home, inspiring others at school or in the community, and spreading the joy of growing food.”
Costa Georgiadis, host of Gardening Australia and national patron of Grow It Local, adds:
“Growing food is a creative act! These awards are a chance to celebrate the people and patches that are bringing our communities to life with delicious, homegrown goodness.”
Getting involved is easy! To enter The Local Grower Award:
