Why wait for the weekend? The Channel 7 Mandurah Crab Fest fun starts early, with a special Friday night preview on 14 March, giving you the chance to explore the event footprint and enjoy the festival atmosphere before the weekend crowds arrive.
From 4pm, the Mandurah Foreshore will come alive with pop-up bars, live music, roving entertainment, and plenty of opportunities to support our fantastic local businesses, who will be setting up activations along Mandurah Terrace with delicious food and drinks.
Here’s what you can look forward to:
Frothies & Funk – Presented by Thorny Devil Brewery, this pop-up bar will have funky beats from Horton Presents DJs, mouth-watering BBQ, and a range of beers, ciders, and wines to kick off your weekend
Ignite – Hosted by Boundary Island Brewery, this fiery event features live music, a fire show, and an exclusive cooking demonstration with Crab Fest Culinary Ambassador Chef Kelvin Cheung, all set against the stunning foreshore backdrop.
Crafted Bait Shop: Cocktails & Bites – The team from Crafted Cocktails will be serving up creative drinks and delicious bites at their waterfront pop-up bar – free entry from 4pm.
Live music and roving entertainment – Enjoy free live music at the roundabout stage (corner of Tuckey Street and Mandurah Terrace) and catch roving performers bringing colour and energy to the foreshore.
Support local! Along Mandurah Terrace, many local cafes, bars and restaurants will be open, and some will even be setting up special activations with tasty food and drinks for you to enjoy as you wander through the festival footprint.
This relaxed Friday night preview is the perfect chance for locals to get a first look at what’s on offer before Crab Fest weekend officially begins.
